Alarm System Components

Typical alarm systems consist of one or more keypads to set / unset the system usually placed at main entrances and

main bedroom in houses, magnetic door contacts, infrared PIR motion detectors to detect any movement in the premises

when alarm is armed, internal and external sirens, a battery backup unit (allowing your alarm to continue to work as normal

even in the event of a power cut), optional smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and optional panic buttons - all these

components are then connected to a control unit. When leaving the building a code is entered into the keypad and after a

pre-set amount of seconds the system will be armed, any intrusion to the property will then be picked up by the detectors

which will sound the alarm and notify our 24HR monitoring station and they will contact the keyholders and if necessary

the emergency services.

We also offer the latest in wireless technology whereby we can fit wireless alarm detectors which eases the need for

wires in your premises which is sometimes unsightly if the premises is complete and the alarm system is an afterthought.

These systems are becoming more attractive and batteries last between 3 and 5 years. Our systems also can work using

a keyfob which is convenient when arming/disarming without the need to present yourself to the wired keypads. We use

HKC which are made in Ireland and are boasting 80% of the Intruder Alarms on the market in Ireland today.
