An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion.

At Brimac Security Ltd we supply, install and maintain all major brands of fire alarms if its commercial or industrial we can supply the products, and the expertise to provide the solution to your needs.

All of our systems comply with EN 54 standards and all of our work is carried out with the highest of standards to comply with IS 3218 and BS5839. Our engineers are all fully trained on all of our equipment and have been working in the industry supplying top quality service and repairs to some of the biggest names in the business.

Once your fire alarm system is installed a test certificate is issued and you will then be able to call us at any time should the fire alarm system develop a fault or should you need advice.

It is imperative that your fire alarm equipment is serviced regularly to comply with Regulations. You must use qualified fire alarm engineers to carry out annual fire alarm tests and inspection. What commercial properties do not realise it to comply with IS3218 L3 standards the systems have to be inspected 4 times per year. Monitoring of Systems

There are two types of Fire alarm systems and are described below:

Conventional fire alarms:


Single to Multi zones for small premises. Zones will be made up of smoke/heat detectors and manual call points and control relays covering defined areas.

 

Addressable fire alarms:


Single Loop to Multi Loop for small, medium and large premises. Each detector, manual call point and control interface unit has a unique address allowing for the exact location to be identified rapidly via text assigned to the individual device. This systems can be interfaced with building management systems, remote monitoring station, Mimic panels can be built to exact building layout,We are agents for the Cooper Menvier range of fire Alarm detection equipment

 

Emergency Lighting Systems

It is important that this equipment is properly tested and maintained if it is to function correctly when required in an emergency.

All emergency lighting should be regularly checked and maintained by a competent person in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations.

The following testing is designed to ensure the continued protection of your premises and occupants; because of the possibility of a failure of the normal lighting supply occurring shortly after a period of testing, all tests should wherever possible, be undertaken at time of least risk.

The results of all testing and any necessary corrective action should be recorded in a log record held on site, which shall be available if required for inspection by any authorised person.
